First Blog Post on the New Website

Hello and welcome! Please take a moment to explore this space and find value in what I have to share.

So, who is Tommy? I am a passionate advocate for fathers, dedicated to helping them lead with both clarity and confidence. As a biological dad and a bonus dad, I know firsthand the joys and challenges that come with parenting. My mission is to offer practical, heart-centered coaching that bridges the gap between parenting and partnership. With a blend of real-world tools and empathetic guidance, I work to support fathers on their unique journeys.

My journey through fatherhood has been a rollercoaster ride, filled with both triumphs and trials. I transitioned from a married life to navigating the complexities of being a divorced father. Like many men, I found it challenging to embrace vulnerability and often hesitated to reach out for help. Unfortunately, this led to a dark period where depression seeped into my mind, clouding my perspective—a state I refer to as “the fog.”

Now, as I look back from my current position, I am happily remarried and the proud father of three remarkable adult children (I find it hard to call them “children”!).

In my previous life, I hosted a podcast and managed a website focused on the intricacies of blended families. While my heart remains devoted to supporting blended family dynamics, my interests have ventured into new territories. I am excited to share insights on topics such as literature, culinary delights, and the pursuit of joy—all of which beautifully weave into the fabric of fatherhood. I’d love to hear about the books you’re diving into; although I wasn’t always an avid reader, my curiosity for others’ recommendations has grown immensely.

A theme I resonate with—much like Danny Rojas from the beloved show Ted Lasso—is the concept of “joy.” Being a dad or bonus dad is an incredible journey that brings about joy in various forms, even when it feels elusive. I assure you, joy is all around us, waiting to be discovered.

Although I may not have a strong background in coding, I am committed to delivering valuable, actionable coaching tips each week that can enhance your fatherhood experience. And yes, I’m thrilled to announce that a new podcast is on the horizon!

You might wonder why I decided to use my name for the website instead of opting for something more whimsical or catchy. Does my name lack charm or uniqueness? The truth is that I chose to use my name to keep things simple; moreover, spending more money on another domain might lead my wife to question my sanity, and I want to avoid that!

Please share this site with fellow dads who could use some helpful resources. Here, you’ll find a free downloadable eBook filled with step-by-step guidance and insightful content to assist you on your journey.

I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to all who have supported me by listening to my past podcasts, attending my talks, and purchasing my books. I am genuinely grateful for your time and trust in gathering valuable insights. Together, let’s continue to explore the enriching world of fatherhood!
